I would not run a havak I've had three go poof. You can't beat the Tekin RS (or RS Pro for low turn). Customer service is second to none, the smallest footprint, and with v203 software I feel it is the smoothest and fastest controller out today. I started with Novak so I have Ballistic motors 17.5 and 13.5 and have had none of the problems many have had but if you are going to buy a combo today get the Tekin esc/motor combo and never look back.

Thanks!!!
I was just reading another thread where Airwood's friend motor 8.5T died after first try that's sad

Novak need to step up or they will loose there reputation very soon.

Now for sure I'm getting Tekin RS/Red line 10.5T motor

Yep I've seen a lot of posts lately about fried Ballistic motors. Like I stated before Tekin all the way!! When my Ballistic motors let me down they will be replaced be Tekin (or maybe sooner if I can sneak it by wife).

Well, my son ran a Tekin 6.5/RS Pro last summer in a BJ4WE with no updates and he was fast. We now have the updates installed and he is going to be real fast with these changes in his XX-4WE+ this coming summer. There was absolutely no problems with the Tekin system. We got great help at one race from a Tekin sponsored driver (Brian Munn, if I'm wrong name wise, please forgive me) with showing us how to use the Hot Wire system for the 1st time and look after us all weekend with our newbie questions....Randy Pike, you got a keeper!

It hurt the wallet a bit originally.... but you get what you pay for IMHO! And that includes great service, and good people!

I hope to get a good comparison at least in VTA of a Tekin versus ballistic when the tekin comes back from the shop.

I like Ballistic. Since you can change stators to run different classes. It's cheaper than two trucks.

I really like the idea of that too, and I think that may be the design of the future.

Our Ballistic is sixteen motors in one.

And, you can even design your own custom motor.
