Default Slash 2WD Vs HPI Blitz Questions

Hi, I've been bashing and racing my Slash for over 2 years.
THIS QUESTION IS ABOUT RACING.

I always race on open modified class. Now I'm thinking of joining both mod open & stock class and I'm going to purchase another truck. The Slash is the only available SCT here currently, but not until today...the Blitz has arrived.

Now here's the question:
1. Should I put my Slash back in stock form and mod the Blitz or the
opposite?
2. Will a box stock HPI Blitz improve your average lap times and increase your
lap counts than a box stock the Slash?
4. Is the Blitz transmission and driveline REALLY Brushless ready?

Thanks in advance

1. Either choice is good
2. Yes. I run a "stock" Blitz and my times are better.
4. The documentation says "yes", but I haven't tried it yet.

Thanks, but your signature says that your Blitz runs XL-5 + Traxxas 12T? I need comparison between completely stock Blitz vs completely stock Slash...have you ever compared that on the track?

In stock class our Blitzes dominate the Slashes. The only truck that can hang is the SC10 and only if it doesn't break and they're a sight better driver than me which isn't common.

If you run the blitz stock, you will have to deal with not having brakes. The stock ESC doesn't have reverse lockout, and can very easily go into reverse when you are trying to brake. Most guys that run them locally have been allowed to run the traxxas slash esc. I personally would run the slash stock and mod the blitz.

They allow any RTR electronics on "stock" class at our local tracks. Frankly, the HPI ESC is total garbage.

In complete out of the box form, the Slash is better. Tires, ESC, motor are all superior.
