There's nothing wrong with a Dale Earnhart shell...
I have a proline shell painted like Ivan Stewart, and he hasnt raced in years..
Ive even seen Richard Petty inspired shells at the track..
And that guy is old enough to be your grandfather...

You should maybe looking into getting a ND filter. This way when the sun/light is super harsh out you can slow the shutter down to get the motion that you are looking for without trying to compensate for the light.

Looking at your EXIF data, you're shooting at 1/1579, @ f/5 Since you are shooting in Shutter priority, try dropping it down to 1/320 (it will adjust your f stop accordingly).

Thanks a bunch. I do actually have a couple nd's and a polaroid that I never seem to remember to get out of the bag. Thanks for the tips!
