Its a custom mix, I used all faskolor airbrush paints and couldn't find a gun metal color I liked, so I mixed it myself from silver and charcoal pearl.

I wanted to do something a little different then what you typically see in RC, more of a scale race car/truck livery instead of the standard fade/flames/tribal stuff.

Only problem is since the slash 4x4 is so new a lot of people think it is a traxxas design rather then a custom job :-)

Its the second body I have ever done, so let me know what you think!

Now that's what I'm talking about! This looks like a true paint scheme you'd see on a Short Course truck. Don't get me wrong, the flames, fades, and customs shapes all look nice, but this one is true to scale. I like it!

Thanks for everyone contributing to this thread; I have all the paint equipment but none of the imagination.

The most hacked paint job has to be the monster energy scheme. I've seen some that looked like a drunk monkey did it, and some that looked real good. I decided I wanted one a little bit different, so I went to the bike shop and the one industries monster energy helmet really caught my eye, so I took some cues from it, and I think it turned out half decent. All paint, no decals except the grill.
