The grip isn't the best, and it's obviously an aged design, but you can't really argue with the fact that the TQ has always been one of the most reliable radios on the face of the planet. We were taking back 1 of every 10 associated radios for a long time, 1 of every 10-20 hpi radios, and don't even get me started on other manufacturers. We get maybe 2 or 3 Traxxas radios a year, which is probably 1 in every 200 if that.
Airtronics' MX Sport seems pretty good, but the MX3FG is a bit weird on reliability, and I can't expect the sport to be better. Yeah, the warranty will take care of it if necessary, but I bet the Traxxas radios will hardly ever have a legitimate failure.
