After looking at the picture of TrickedMGT's truck I realized you can use a rear exaust engine. But I think the included manifold that comes with the factory team gt is side exaust. Does anyone know of a manifold that will work with the stock rc10gt FT pipe and a rear exaust engine?

I think that I would get this OS .12 engine:

Thanks for any help.

Check with the rules before you buy a motor. I was told you had to run a side port, I think that's why you get one with the kit.

I run a Orion Wasp .12 and it goes really well.

As for a manifold just check at your LHS and they will prob have something that will work. Then go back to tower and order what you need

My fault, it was rcracer37's truck. Looks good though . Anyway, does anyone know for sure weather or not a rear exaust engine is illegal for 1/10 scale nitro trucks? If know one knows for sure then does anyone know where I could find out? If it were illegal why would Losi include it with their full blown race truck? Or is it not actually included with the kit or something.

I saw the Orion side exaust engine, but it looks like it has a long threaded crank. Doesn't the GT require a short threaded crank? If it does could you cut down the crank shaft? Thanks.

The rear exhaust is legal look at any pro's truck and it should have rear exhaust.

If the orion has threads that go down far enough you should be able to cut the crank.

Thanks about how my truck looks just rebuilt for this year.

rcracer37 - That looks like an O.S. engine in your truck. How well does that work for you (bottom end, top end, reliability, ect.) ?
Im leaning towards the wasp if I got a GT. I have a wasp .26 in my savage that I just finished breaking in. Which Im already impressed with, starts up nice, and has great power too.

Does anyone know the part number for the Drake rear exaust manifold? thanks

The Gt kit comes with instructions on how to cut the shaft down. I have the Wasp in my truck. I had to cut it to fit.

I wonder why they give you a side manifold with the gt kit if the team guys use rear ports.

I will have to find out the rules here in Australia.
