Bad idea removing the slipper. I did this on one of my trucks and started stripping out transmission gears. Instead if you want minimal slip just try cranking down the adjustment until there is almost no slip. I did this and haven't stripped any gears since.

The easiest way to properly adjust your slipper is to hold the rear wheels and nail the gas. If the front end jumps up, its too tight....back off the adjustment nut until the front end just barely hops.
