Questions??

the size difference in those motors is a big factor in determining if it's a good fit for you. Base it on the application. I've run feigaos and really only had a heat issue when it was over geared.

IMO. The Xl would be nice in an 8th scale buggy or truggy especially at 2300kv on 4s. The S would be good in a 10th/12th scale 4wd nitro conversion like a jammin crt .5 which runs a little heavier than the typical 10th scale 2wd vehicle. But at 1700kv it would be efficient for sure (good run time) but may not give you the top end you're looking for.

But for $25 more you can get a Nue, since they are having a killer sale right now. I'm thinking about picking up a couple spares since the great price.

I ran i believe a 1900kv in my losi muggy. I'm not sure I get the you get what you pay for thing that's always batted about. for a losi 8b i'd do the xl motor and have fun. The price of a Neu motor that isn't a mass produced one i.e. mamba monster of hpi tork is a great deal at $100 and unlike feigao's has at least some definite return policy. i can remember when that same you get what you pay for was being spouted about Medusa motors and turnigy/flightmax lipos but I digress.

To the OP get whatcha like, but recognize the Neu's are 2pole motors just like the feigaos but there's some safety in having a solid company whose customer svc and return policy you can point to. I say this as i'm taking one of my "no name" hobbycity motors out of one truggy and am placing it in another. 2yrs and still going strong.

Another not to pricey motor is the V2 Speed passion motors. Whats cool about them also is they can be run Sensored also incase you say upgrade to the MMpro or Rx8 you will then run in sensored mode and that is smooth as butter off the line. They also have a different Patented way to mount the wires they are on a female 4mm bullet plug you solder the wires to the plug and you just push the plugs in the motor. I had the V1 and will have the V2 in a week or 2. And SP has awesome customer service.

Check out HObbycity.com, they have several cheap motors with great reviews. Just make sure you read the reviews because a few of them are junk.

I should look into the speedpassion v2. it's water resistant/proof also. With a BEC i'm not sure what you would need it for on most of the modern ESC's unless there's a real concern the servo you're using can't handle the voltage.

not sure if i can give you the site name but I'll pm it to you. I also referenced the company in my previous post.
