I can't wait to get my hands on one of the 1800kv motors, but my question is which one would be best for a buggy? I run a 2200 on 4s now and would like to go to 5s, maybe 6s. All i do is race, not bash, im just wanting know the differance between the two. thanks

The 1512 1.5Y 1800kv no question. The other 1800 is too long and heavy for buggies and will fool you into thinking it is tamer than the 2200.

Must these motors be used on 4s-6s systems like Mamba Monster Max?

Can these motors be used with the regular Mamba Max?

I wouldn't mind having a higher torque, lower rpm motor in my 1/10th 4wd...

Wish Castle would make a CM36 sized motor with a Kv range of about 3000 to 4000

The 4600Kv is a good motor, but it's still somewhat ballistic in my goofy hands...

Wow, no wonder they were so long in coming - it was 4 new motors!

I was trying to find a used BigMaximum for my heaviest electric project, but now I'm leaning toward buying a 1520 1Y or a 1717......decisions, decisions..

Get the 1717 I want to hear about it. I used to run MT and now that this is out I want to get another big boy like a MGT 8.0 and convert it. Its a big heavy truck, that with some minor tweaks can throw down some laps. I am still hoping the MT class makes a comeback, but I belive it will never happen.

The 1512 series 1800 on 5S would be a great choice for buggy.

Probably the setup I'd run for my next buggy.

All of these motors have been available under the Nue brand. Castle is just finally making their slightly more affordable versions.

I would love to try the 85mm 1580kv on my E-LST2. The 2200 geared 16/63 on 5 s is pretty insane and drains the battery to fast at the track too. I think the 1580kv geared 25-26/63 on 5S would be the ticket

They have a "black Friday" sale. I would hate to think that those of us with the inability to spend that money right now would have to pay the higher price when the Tekin motors are cheaper everyday anyways.

Great news on the long-awaited new motors. Picked up two of the 1800kv 1512's - definitely a good price today. Too bad the price is not going to last - would like to see more people get a shot at these prices.

How would the 1800 do on 4s?
Right now I use a Losi 2100kv and a Tekin 1900kv. With the same gearing they run about the same.

Tom, try the Traxxas 3500 Kv motor, heard many good things about the MM matched with the Traxxas motor.
