Havoc with 7.5 - XXX-CR or Slash
I have a race this weekend and I drive a XXX-CR and a mod Slash. I have a havoc esc in both & have 8.5 & 7.5 motors. (I don't actually HAVE the 7.5 motor until race day)
I know that the havoc is only rated down to 8.5 but I'm willing to try the 7.5 in one of my vehicles. I'm guessing the 7.5 may fair better in the XXX-CR because it's lighter but the Slash would have better airflow over the esc.
I'm gonna mount a fan on the esc that's running the 7.5 motor but just don't know what vehicle to put it in. Any help, advice would be appreciated

Put in in the buggy.
I have a havoc with an 8.5 in a Slash and I had to put a heatsink on the motor and mount a fan blowing on the heatsink to keep it from thermalling in less than 8-9 minutes. But that was thermalling of the motor, not the speed control. However, since the havoc is only rated for the 8.5, I wouldn't push it by combining a hotter motor and an overweight vehicle.
