Default hello

hello i bought my xb8 used tonight from a local, every thing looks good on it other than a broke rear shock it needs the top cap and the shock shaft its beent but for the deal i got i cant complain at all .it had a top p5 on it with low compression ,i am looking for a Good reliable engine, that is lower cost,i was told a ofna 8 port was the way to go but what about the rb s lower end motors ,i dont need a monster engine til i learn the car and how to drive it on offroad ,I Mostly drive electric so i would like an engine thats easy to tune, what would you recommend,

who is Jim hottinger? on the box it has a sticker of hot mods ,this engine must have been real hot because it ,it has low compresion
you can turn it by hand easy,I wonder if i sent it to a pincher if they could bring it back?its a pt-21 p5/n

Do all of you run aluminum Clutches?

You can get a new Piston and sleeve for that motor for 90 Bucks I would not waste my money on any other motor

No need to go overseas we (Ashford Hobby)stock significant X-Ray parts. Stormer also stocks parts as well as any number of other dealers.

hi there stan. are you on ebay? if so ive bought some parts from you in the past. anyway, that engine that you have there is a mod motor. Jim Hottinger was the late Ron Paris's understudy and a very good modder. he also runs fusion motorsports who is the novarossi importer for north america. i would send that engine you have out to only 1 of 2 people, and thats either OSRocket, or RayARacing. i belive you can find both on ebay. that engine is worth over $300 new so dont let anyone lowball you for it and lose it. if it can be squeezed i would do so and save it until your ready for it. until that time pick up an OS RG to learn driving and tuning on. its cheap, easy to tune, smooth, and when it dies you can all but get your money back parting it out.

Nice car but what's with the little mermaid lunch box?

More seriously, did you buy some upgrades like the shock towers? Those look like the pro ones.
