Joker, Diff oils I would atleast have 1000, 2000, 5000, 7000, and 10000. Most set ups I have seen are 5 fr , 7 cen , and 1000 rear.

Shock oils I would have from 30 w to about 50w depending on how stiff you like a car to feel .

Joker, I would start with Gene Hickerson's set up . One thing you might change is the front oil from 50w to 45w . The rest should be a good start.

Thank's again Brandon. Where do i get Gene Hickerson's set up from. Also I'm confused about the shock oil wt. The Xray touring oil is two numbers and the XB8 is three numbers. I have plenty of touring car oil, can I use that.

Hickerson's set up ...

http://faq.rc-community.de/index.php...=61&artlang=de

Shock oil should be 35 w touring = 350 w 1/8 th
40w = 400 w

and so on.

Maybe David Joor ( another team driver) can elaborate .

I'm interested in purchasing a xb8 and i was wondering if there have been any specific weak points in the buggy. Anything that you have broken multiple times etc.

I was thinking the same thing, I have heard people are breaking the steering knuckles. I also have heard people are saying lack of steering....But, i'm figuring they might not have the chassis tuning thing down since the car is so adjustable.....I'm looking at XB8, X1, H&, 777, or MBX5 Prospec..........hhhhmmmm, Jim

The car does not push. The steering knuckles don't break unless you drive it into a wall (which some obviously have). I would suggest getting some front A-arms, they are first to go.

350 does not equal 30, more like 27.5/25.

Georgetown races on Saturday, going to Houston for NHO at Pearland, $ race.

Mounting my Jconcepts body this week!

I am in love with this car, 3 tracks now with the same setup and the car just feels perfect. Today I was breaking in motors so I wasn't going to touch the setup but honestly I can't imagine what I would need to change, the car felt that good on a sandy, dry, rooster tail style track.
