One thing I would keep in mind when doing another pack is that the weight of the 6500mah pack is a bit porky compared to say a 5000mah lipo. so you may find the vehicle will feel different when driving.

Me personally I would try and us similar weight and size packs if possible.

I was in need of a pack to get me through a 20 min. truggy main this season and took a gamble with the very spendy Maxamps 4s/6500/60c pack, being the only 6500 I could find to fit the AE tray. Not only did it get me through a 20 min. main without a problem many times, it's working very well. I also run SMC, Thunder Power, Hyperion, and Protek 5000mah 4s packs, and they are also great. But the Maxamps 6500 is the only one that will easily get me through a 20 min. truggy main without a problem. The newer stuff from Maxamps is working very well for me so far.

Default 4s lipo in a 1/8 buggy

thunder powers are amazing high quality batteries but if you are on a budget you wont find a cheaper quality lipo than a zippy 4s 5000 30c .they sell for less than 70 bucks and have great punch and runtime.

myself and my teammate are running these batteries in our hot bodies ve8s.

you have to do a bit of modification to the stock battery tray to get the zippy to fit but well worth it in my opinion.
