I only have experience with a slash, but have seen them all EXCEPT the blitz.

Slash: Easy to drive, motors are strong, steering is predictable, infact the whole truck is predictable, traxxas makes good quality stuff, parts available EVERYWHERE!

SC10: Watch a buddy take it out of the box 2 hours before a SCK(short course kings money series) Race, qualified 3rd, burnt up the stock ESC in 2 rounds of qualifying, put in a stock slash esc with the sc10 motor, and finished 2nd in the race. He literally ran box stock setup, it looked dialed, drove great, plenty of speed, downfall, that ESC burning up.

Strike: Have hear nothing but complaints out of local drivers. Can't get the rear end planted. Parts break easily, and not so easy to find right now. I watched a guy last night burn up 2 motors, 1 per qualifying round at our club race.

Just what I have seen, and raced.

We had a local club race today with a great turn out. The track is a 40'x60' carpet track with some jumps. They run a Spec Slash class (box stock) and an Open SCT class. I just updated my Slash to a Stock 17.5 Brushless and raced the Open SCT class against SC10, Strike and Blitz.

While all these trucks have thier pros and cons it simply comes down to tires, motor and driving skills. I would also say that the crew chief is important. The winner today was the Strike. The owner/operator is a savy carpet racer. I saw him take the stock Losi strike from Stock to 13.5 brushless. He struggle at first with the set-up cause the high CG, like the Slash, tends to roll much more.

Second place was a savy racer with an SC10 set-up well. These two go bumper to bumper every week. The Blitz was third only because I broke a front hub. The Blitz was awesome. Looks tougher than the SC10 and once the driver has it set-up better it will be very competitive.

I was really happy that I was hanging with the others with my 17.5 Novak system. If my driving skills improve I should be right up there!!!

I think Slash is a great truck to start with. As many have said, it is tough, parts are every where, and it works well for both bashing and racing.

SC10 is a bit more fragile and takes some time to setup, but once it is dialed in, it is fast and hard to beat.

The new Blitz seems to be the best combination of the above. SC10 performance with Slash toughness. Good for bashing and racing...and once the guys have some wheel time with it to figure out a good setup, it should have no problem hanging (or beating) a SC10

Strike...well, no comment I have seen more Strikes not finish than finish. Just this past Friday at our local track, I saw a Strike with a transmission case ripped apart with the diff showing. I've never seen that before on any vehicle, on or off-road, or in any scale in my past 20 years of racing R/C. The guy wasn't even going fast (he can't be, he was using stock motor).

for what is worth, I think if you go with any of the first three...you'll be just fine

Hey, Steve, not nice to laugh at other people's misfortunes!

Well, okay, I guess it is kinda funny... still trying to figure out how.

Just messin'...

Hope to get it fixed this week and have it on the track again soon. They drive really nicely... when they are running...

Lol, uh-oh, I think I know who this is. But actually I'm still amazed at what I saw, I've never seen a transmission casing pull apart like that. I also saw a lot of DNF at other tracks too of the Losi Strike...so I guess don't feel too bad

PM me if you have any questions or next time you see me at the track, even though we don't run the strike, a lot of guys at the track are always more than willing to help

It would need alot more than a lipo cutoff to be the best out there.

Despite the pros and cons, they all seem pretty equal on the track. Case in point:

+ YouTube Video
ERROR: If you can see this, then YouTube is down or you don't have Flash installed.

It just proves that brand doesn't matter when only one out of ten can drive...

If any thing on that track... get a Slash, & keep practicing.

I can only speak for the SC10 -

Pro
1) T4-ish, parts support
2) Planetary Diff (low maintenance)
3) AE
4) Mud Flaps!

Cons
1) Rear Washes out without more toe-in
2) Stock Rear rims HAD problems of stripping out (the newer ones don't, but people who bought the first kits like me feels I was shafted out a set of rims)
3) Rear shimming problem
4) Stock Tires aren't very good on in-door clay
5) Front chassis will crack without a skid brace

Even though there are more cons then pros, I think the SC10 is just like any other car out there, it has its own pluses, it has its negatives, it has its own issues.

Originally, I thought the Strike was looking good but reading the thread on the strike as well as hearing the gripes from Strike owners at the local track really makes me think whether Horizon rushed this thing out too fast...

Based on everybody's own preferences, I have tried slash, it was easy to drive out of box, sc10 pretty much similar to the b4 with an 8th scale tires (even tho their tires does suck!) I got myself an strike.. i like the way it handles on soft dirt, good 2.4 spectrum system, minus the tonka look like body, I upgraded the servo, motor (15t) and running lipo no problem.. Although slash and strike are almost similar, just wider and longer wheelbase.. I havent tried Hpi BLITZ, but am curious about those.
