mini-t battery help

I just bought a mini-t and the 6 cell pack for it. I was wondering what is the proper way to discharge those packs...I know you have to charge them at 1 amp....could someone please help I dont want to ruin a new battery. Thanks

I have used 1.0 - 1.5 amps with a 4mv cuttoff on my 6cell 1200's w/no problems.
