Default Losi Desert Truck conversion to XXX-T/CR

Has anyone done this conversion yet? I'm hoping for information, or a parts list on the chassis parts required to convert the DT to a XXXT.

From what I can tell it's just towers, arms, and turnbuckles from the CR? I'm wondering about hubs, axles/drivelines, if the towers work with the DT pivot block, etc. I like the DT diff and the truck is new.

Are you wanting to convert it to a CR with Quick Change hubs
Or just a regular XXX-T???
I have no knowledge of the D/T but have heard that the parts interchange between it and the XXX-T line of trucks.

you should be fine with just getting the chassis and new tires and wheels. the toers are differant but i am sure you can still race just as well as you would with the cr towers.

It's like upgrading a V6 Mustang to a Cobra R.

Oh I'm gonna put a tame Mamba BL setup in it...looking for 12-14t mod equivalent.

I know its got the longer chassis. According to part numbers its the same as a CR untill the arms. The towers are obviously different to deal with the silly roll cage stuff.

The only difference between a CR and a regular XXXT is the chassis and the VLA arms.
So if you want to make it a true CR you will need front and rear arms, Rear hubs & bearings, quick channge CVDs, front pivot blocks, hubs, spindles, front and rear towers the wheels and a CR length body.
The parts should interchange with the DT as i have a regular XXXT with all of the CR parts on it minus the VLA arms.

just do the arms and chassis. you can use the buggy cr rear hubs or MF2 rear hubs. that way you dont have to use QC wheels.

cool, thanks!

Yeah, I'm not interested in the QC wheels. I'm guessing a regular xxxt (mf fury?) body wouldn't work with the DT towers though. I definitely need to pull that cage.
