I just picked up a used Hyper 10 SC and have been going over the truck. So far one thing that I found was that all four shock shafts are bent. It turns out the Traxxas 1664T titanium shock shafts are a direct fit with the only difference being that they are few millimeters shorter than the stock shock shafts. This is a good thing since most recommend limiting the down travel on these trucks since they have too much suspension travel out of the box.

Best regards,
Brian

Has anyone tried the Integy aluminum front upper arms for the Hyper 10? I would like to try at a local outdoor parking lot track w/ jumps and my main concern is durability of the arms. The truck that I have has a lot of upgrades including the Integy front steering knuckles and the Integy rear hub carriers. Looking for any help with improving the durability and also could anyone give a detailed procedure on how to boil the plastic parts?

Thank you,
Brian

What options are there for big bore shocks for the hyper 10sc?

If you get the extended front shock tower, SC10 4X4 (I have a set on an SCRT10).

If not, Losi 22 buggy fronts and some variety of the 22 truck/sct for the rear.

I am getting good results using the stock Hyper 10SC shocks with Traxxas 1664T titanium shock shafts.

Just unbolt them from the back, whole standoff and everything. No need to remove it from the shock cap. Or you can use a slim open end wrench and pry it off the standoff.

Hi all,

Newb here but I've stumbled into a couple of Hyper 10sc rollers and am having fun rebuilding them and getting them ready for some fun. These are my first 4x4s and I'm excited to really trick these things out. I know that the aftermarket products for these are somewhat more limited than they were a few years ago but I'm wondering whats out there that I don't know about. I see that Nitrohouse still carries a good selection of stock parts,...and that Integy still produces a few things for it...but is anyone else out there making pieces for this kit?

Is there any one making something like the EliteRC motor mount these days? That seems like a great improvement over stock but they dont seem to be in operation anymore.

Thanks to all!

I tried sc10 4x4 shocks, but since I wanted something more plush and accessible parts, Iím running a set of 16mm shocks from the Team Associated RC8B 3.1 buggy. And Iím using their upper shock mounts on STRC 7075 towers front and rear. Some may call it overkill, but look at the Tekno...

Nitrohouse.com is most all Iíve found, they still have some the factory hop up parts and have had at times the STRC aluminum upgrades as well. I run most of them on my Dad and Iís trucks. And EBay has some good parts pop up from time to time.

Anyone have a lead on an EliteRC motor mount? or is anyone aware another motor mount like that is available now? EliteRC seems to be dead and gone...

I see some CNC motor mounts for Hobao 1/8 scale vehicles but I assume those won't fit...? anyone know for sure?

Cheers,

Blue
