Show me your E8 quick release design. Need some Ideas

For the guys with the e8's with a quick release I want to see your designs. After seeing a 50 second pitstop this weekend in the A main I need to get this down to 20-30 sec. Lets see what you got!

Mind if I ask where is RCPD? Can't find in Google.

body held on with velcro to speed things up

how long do you need to race for? With the right setup, you should be able to run a 20 minute main. Cheaper and more reliable than trying to design a qucik release mechanism.

Single strap down the middle with velcro to hold the body on and no or one body clip. Shouldn't take much longer than 20 seconds or so.

Steve - I'll be glad to work with you to get you something quicker. I know my car is faster than that now, and I'm not set up for quick change right now. You're using the Tekno conversion with a Tekno tray?

I ran a 30 min main with the nitro guys over the weekend. I prob could have taken 3rd if I could have cut 20 sec off
you dont have any probs with the battery popping out???

As others have said, body held on by velcro, velcro pack to bottom of tray with on single length ways strap = 30 sec stops or less depending on whos doin the swap and if they are familiar with your setup.

Nope. I have run a single lengthwise velcro strap for two years and never had a problem. It probably just take some practice. The one race I did a 30 minute main with a battery swap it couldn't have took it more than 20 seconds. The hardest part was not having butterfingers pluggin the battery back in.

thanks guys.. keep em coming

I have one strap, a strip of velcro running the length of the pack, and my body is held on by velcro. I've got it down to about 20 seconds, but the pack will make an entire 15 minute main. If I entered a race longer than that, I might take the time to improve it. I'm pretty much stuck racing against nitro cars, and that's the only reason I can think of to bother with something beyond what I've done.

Im gonna give the velcro a try on the batt and tray... I have some crazy velcro that would probably hold the battery w/o the strap... but im gonna use the strap anyway... thanks guys
