The anodized seats for the screws is a nice touch.

Rear template and standoffs are done. Electronics will be mounted
on the top plate in front of the shock tower. All thats left now is to
make battery posts and hold downs.

Looking good. Can't wait to see the finished product and hear out its longevity.

If it holds up, you should consider making some kits to sell noobs like me. LOL

Question about the extended Tplate and upper brace. What was the total length of the T plate from end to end? Upper brace length? I finally got my carbon fiber on order and I wanna get some templates made up. Also...what part number do I need to mount AE wheels on the front(I have the rears all set since its a simple pin)? I'm sure this has been asked before but I just want to clarify so i don't buy the wrong part.

Thanks

Thank you, any idea what a good extension length for this would be overall? I don't wanna make it too long but too short is no good too.

EDIT: Did some research and the blitz's wheelbase is 329mm and the xxxtcr's wheelbase is 286mm. Looks like 43mm of extension is needed from the T plate.

Okay not to revive an old thread but I ran into a snag. I have my xxxt sct all together but the front end it too wide. the front wheels stock out of the body and I think its illegal. What did you guys use for the front shafts? I tried b4/t4 front shafts and they are a tad too small...what do I do?

Thanks

TRX450 told me that the front axles on a Strike will work and are the proper length.

I cut down the back side of the axle and drill a new hole for the hinge pin. If I recall correctly, it needs to be 13.45mm measured from the bearing race to the back of the hub.

Check out this thread for details on how to narrow the width front and rear.

http://www.rctech.net/forum/electric...rse-truck.html

On the rear, I sanded down the hubs about 3mm, then drilled a new hole in the axle (again, 3mm difference than before) for the pin that holds the wheel. In both cases, front and rear, the threaded portion of the axle will still be longer than needed. I drilled out the first thread of the wheel nut so it would clear the unthreaded portion of the axle that was showing in front of the rim after the modifications.

I've read and discovered that there are many ways of handling this, just gotta do what works easiest for you. On my Speed T, donor truck, the axles are all hardened steel, so this wasn't easy. I had a friend do the work for me at a machine shop.
