notice the small bolts holding it together. Those are gone now and it is epoxied. I just used them during mock up to make sure everything would line up right.

Gushers!

Great job on the trucks guys, it's giving me ideas for when my XXXT CR reaches retirement age...

Update on the truck.

I got a chance to finally put a couple of battery packs thru this truck and all i can say is wow. It handles great and flys level and has great traction even with some new SC10 tires on it.

I am waiting for the new PL tires to be available at my LHS so i can mount a set of those and see what it can really do.

I will have some action shots later today and the chassis has held up great so far it even took a lawn dart without a problem.

which speedo is that in the pics of your sc10? you've got a good looking truck there. I wish Losi woulda done a little more research before they made theres I reall think they woulda had a lot better results with the SCT in the long run. the XXXT is a great platform.

Here is a little update on my truck.
It was going strong for a few months until last Sat i sheared the front bulkhead off of the chassis.
So rather than build another tub i decided to go with a composite G10 chassis
since this truck doesnt meet SCT stock. It will have front and rear chassis braces as well as two aluminum ribs for the battery tray and stiffener.
Everything is in mock up still in the pics as far as braces but you get the general idea.

Love this thread. I have a beat up Losi Speed T that I'm now thinking that I'd like to do the same thing to.

Please do us all a favor and catalog your build processes as thorough as possible, so even noobs like me can understand what you did and how you did it.

The fab wheels are turning in my head now....

The first chassis the one that broke was 2 XXXT chassis cut and epoxied together with G10 as a binder and reinforcement.
The 2nd one is something i am build out if 3mm G10 for the chassis and 3/32
G10 for the braces. The front bulkhead is from a XXXT Nitro Truck.
