So I bought an mp9e almost a year ago(used). I'm now going through it and updating it to what I need (thanks to a good buddy). But as I'm going through I'm taking the car apart to rebuild it just to get my own setup on it. I get to the diffs to find out that as of now the center and rear diff is using only 1 pair of the spider gears in the diff. Never did this on my nitro mp9'stuff back a few years ago (last time I raced 8th scale.) Just curious if I got taken on this deal or if people actually do this?

Thanks

Hi, the wing tower is much better. I m using it with the new wing as well. The old one is broken easily with the old tower. That s why they have improve it. I have a mp9e.

You should make the arm switch for sure . Then drive your track a few times and see if you want the car to be more aggressive. If you do , take all the kick up out of the front of the car and see if you like it . IF you do , then swapping over to the TKI4 parts is for you ... My e buggy is still tki3 and is very easy to drive when my track is loose and bumpy , my 4 is faster when the track has a lot of bite.

Thanks for the reply! I'll go ahead and get the arms fitted and see how we go from there!

Anyone have a decent setup for a TKI3 ebuggy on a hardpack, bumpy outdoor track that get a good grove by the mains. Typical U.S. outdoor track flowing with big hits.

hey guys! Just bought the conversion kit for my 777 Sp2. Figured i would get that going since it's clean for cheap, since it's easier to buy the electronics needed and not a whole kit on top of that too.

I got a HW XR8 SCT and G2 1900kv motor, with SMC 5200mah 90c 4S battery. Hopefully the battery will fit the tray.

My Q is that the Kyosho kit seems to come with a 10t pinion. Is there any way this would be OK? I run on a fairly tight track and seems most people run around a 15t pinion so 10 seems low to me.

Also, any latest bodies that might fit my converted 777sp2? A lot of the threads I have been reading through reference older discontinued bodies. Maybe the Mp9e body will fit?

thanks!

Will this work with the MP9E TKI4? I know it says it is compatible on the Amain website but wanted to verify here.

Yes it will work. Depending on the size of you battery it may run a bit. I run it on mine. I have a 4800 4s Orion pack and there is plenty of room. Also have larger 6k Trinity white carbon packs, and they rub a bit but not terrible.

Also have to keep an eye on where you motor tabs are. Install the motor so tabs are at the side, not on top.

Any tips on mounting the transponder? I was unsure of what works best.
