I've gotta ask, why have a crawler/basher and put track tires on it?

Summits are ridiculous at the track, been there with mine and even running Revo suspension/wheels it sucks.

Here is a couple pics:

Those tires are REALLY small for how big that truck is. LOL

The 40 series wheels/tires would probably be better suited for that rig.

I picked those tires n wheels up for very little and got the adapters for very little as well. I will eventually get a body that will look cool with those wheeles n tires. They have never seen dirt (yet). I am planning on a Tekin RX8 with 1900kv motor. I already have two 2s batteries and a series plug for them. Do you guys think a Tekin buggy 1900kv would be good in the Summit? I have a chance to get a good deal on one.

Why?
Just because I wanted them. I will eventually sell them or find bigger tires for them. I love the wheels.

Wheels definitely were nice. Just the tires make it look a little funny.

As for the Tekin. I would not at all put the RX8 system in a Summit. They are having issues pushin around 1/8 buggies. Stick one in a 11lb Summit and it's beggin for issues. If you have to have the Tekin get the 1300kv system. Lot less likely to fry.

The 2200kv MMM system I have is fantastic, runs real cool, and has TONS of power.

I have a race only E revo and I run a rx8 with a 1700 truggy motor on 6s lipo's. Works just fine. Got 3rd place at the state championship race this year.

35 min A main

Tekin's are the ONLY way to go

I wount do the T8 buggy motor on the Summit. I belive they have a 2000 truggy that would be great on 4s.

I have personally run my 1900kv T8 in my revo and it wasnt as good at the truggy motor. You need the torque it that rig

35 min A Main ????

How the hell you get a battery to last that long???

I will stick with an ESC that doesn't blow every other week like the Tekins have been doing. I know Castle took 3 versions to get theirs right and I will gladly give Tekin the same chance but until that 3rd version, I will stick with something that is a little more reliable.

Congrats on 3rd place. That's impressive.

I was thinking the truggy motor would be better due to the torque issue, but I wasn't sure if the 1900kv buggy motor would work or not. I only have a 4s setup right now. If I need to later down the road, I will buy 2 3s lipos.

If I get the 2000kv truggy motor, what gearing should I put in it?
