how much did this cost for you to make? or did you have all the parts laying around. i am getting a xxx-t mf or mf2 for free to day and want to make a sc out of it if it is cheaper then buying a blitz and meets all sc rules.
thanks,
Thomas

Feeling a little slow, I is a little slow, the way he broke it up, and used ych, instead of ik, threw me for a loop. I should have known Mark would throw something like that at me, just to make me look stupid, he's just trying to get back at me, because I usually beat him on the track.

I've got about $65. in new Associated parts, $40. in new tires, and $30. in a new body.

At first I tried to make some like what comes on the SC10, by trying to cast some out of Epoxy, using clay as a mold, but could not get the Epoxy to stick well enough, probably because I didn't wait long enough for the Epoxy to cure. You can see how I tried to do it, in these two pictures.

My next thought was to drill holes in the side of the chassis, but after thinking about it for awhile, I really didn't want to do that, so I decided to try to just use that real Strong 3M outdoor double stick tape, as you can see in this picture.

I might try a nitro version, my friend has a whole bunch of xxx-nts and parts that I cna pretty much get for nothing.

I was thinking of extending the from just in front of the gas tank and leaving most of the weight in the rear.

You only need one truck and a hand full of parts and some creativity.

They are giving away gas trucks on ebay. If you spent just a little bit of money and converted it to an SCT, it would all a suddon be the talk. Cheaper than crap to convert, and you end up with something that is the going thing right now.

Wheels/tires, and a body is the bulk of your cost.

The gas truck is the same size as the electric maybe a hair longer but no where close to being the right length out of the box.
It would be a cool platform to build off of.

ok i am really looking in to this but i want to make it legal to race, could you expand on the way you made it less wide and if possible tell me which rear cvds you used. i am doing this to a XXX-T MF1 and when i took off the rear wheel the axel looked like the top one in your picture but with longer threads.

also after looking at the truck for a couple min i think i may have come up with an easy way to make the car longer by making a new T plate out of aluminum and a brace on top. what do you think?
thanks,
Thomas.

As far as your T-Plate extension it doesnt hurt to try but that is gonna be a long T-plate.

ya but you can make it as thick as you want and make a top brace out of aluminum for extra strength i guess we will see.
BTW what body is on your sc XXX-T(the clear one)?
