Academy SBv1

Ok, I dug out my Academy buggies, got em all shinned up, anyone have an idea how to work out a brace to fit a hardcase lipo pack? the existing holders are just a tad too narrow and short, but without something the bat will rub against the center shaft. Ideas?

You may want to look into this.

I know that on my SBV2Pro all I had to do was flip the center brace so it was up against my IP3800 pack.

Thanks for the link, though I may have to cut something myself, since the posts on the SB1 are not offset. Again thanks.

Easy fix! On the SBV1 I simply took out the battery holders and added pegs to the screws that held them in place. I used spare plastic servo mounts and pieces of a broken ball cup. Now a thick SMC 5200 lipo fits and stays tight using the factory hold-down strap. I'll try to get a pic
