well thats the plus to lipo, you dont slow down you go wide open to nothing. it stays full power till it reaches low voltage

indeed, I've never needed voltage cutoff anyways, i can tell when the car slows down .

I know from watching the slash class at our local track. The guys running 7 cell nimh seem to have more punch than those running the 5000 lipos. For the amount of run time of most races, the 7 cell nimh is fine.

The nylon gets weak and causes to much slop for the gears and usually strips one of them .

well maybe I should've got the brushless oh well. And ya a 7 cell nihm would have more punch. rated voltage is 8.4 vs 7.4 on a 2 cell lipo. An 8 cell Nihm would dominate.
