Thanks for all the input on running 2+3=5s batteries. I will give it a try. I just did not want to try it before I asked only to fined out I would trash my batteries.

I agree that 4S works best on most tracks. However a new track just opened 15minutes down the road from my house. The track is very large and set up for HPI 1/5 scale b5 and 5t buggies and truggies. The track has very loose rules. It is "almost" a run what you brung track with only separating the classes by style and size. They have a 1/10 SC truck class that they run 2wd and 4wd at the same time, monster truck class, a 1/8 truggy class and a 1/8 buggy class and a 1/5 b and 5t class. I plan to run my 4x4 slash in the SC class and my Vorza in the 1/8 buggy class.

I want to try 2+3s=5S at the track because it is a very large track designed for 1/5 scale and some of the straights are long. If it works well for the track I will invest some $$$ in a real 5S pack.

Thanks
Will

Hi

I got the castle link software and just wanted to check something; when i connected mine and it retrieved the settings, it shows the 'brake amount' as 'custom' and then set at '36%', i'm using version 3.251 of the software, is this what yours was set at as default? i've checked previous posts which stated '0.5'.

Cheers

Lee

So i got the JC MP9 body cut out. Its not a direct fit, but i do like how well it wraps around the chassis. The batteries hit right befor it sits on the rear body post, so it flares out the bottom of the body when you pust it down. Let me do some fine trimming and ill post a pic.

Mr. Mya, were you able to measure the JConcepts D8 Hi-Flow body across the width?
