HPI Vorza Flux 1/8 E-Buggy Thread
#6211
I'm happy with the 4S runtimes and speed for now. Shopping around for 6S, and unlike the 4S where it's cheaper to actually get two 2S lipos, I was wondering what lipos are people using for 6S? I have options of 30C or 40C discharge with 5000mah... anybody have problems running 6S? Does the 6S lipo fit in the battery tray? I'm not the type to floor the car, I think I have a good understanding of throttle control. I floor it when needed and would like to have that power available when wanted. What are your opinions and recommendations... This is purley for urban bashing this 6S...

Hey Guys....just picked up a Vorza on trade...
Was really fun for 5 minutes until the Left Front CVD popped out of the drive cup. ;(
Take a peek at the pic... Is the dogbone that close to the end of the drivecup on your vorza when the suspension is in full extension?

Hi guys, thinking of buying one of the new vorza,s when they are available, but unsure which battery setup is the best, also can you run on just one lipo battery instead of fitting two in the car?....thanks....

I am now going all lipos 40C... Nothing less...

Discharging a lipo capable of this 40C rating would cause less stress and no puffing of the lipo. Whereas with 25C or 30C you are close to the max amp draw of the motor and esc. On my other RC I used 20C and the lipo got really hot and puffy cause the motor and esc were overdrawing amps... Even though people were saying 20C was fine... Plus lipos will last longer if not stressed out.

Your ESC won't be drawing more amps from 25C batts than from 40C batts, on the contrary, since the 25C battery voltage will sag more under load. You'll get more grunt with higher C batts, but may not be really noticable since the wheels will spin easily even with lower C batts.
25C batts will be harder on the ESC capacitors though (higher ripple).
I'm using 5S 5000mAh 45C Zippy pack from HK and it's a perfect fit.
