This is how the Losi E8 body fits on a Losi chassis. I guess the Vorza is a taller car.

Pulled out a leftover dirt bike number plate graphic and applied it to the bottome of the aluminum chassis. Then used a hobby knife to cut it to the proper shape. I then cut out the essential holes in the bottom, but left most covered. This should protect the bottom and keep the aluminum looking nice for longer. However, the background graphic was white, doesn't really blend well.

My brother is painting a D8 body and has a Kyosho MP9(nitro) body there too.

I just had him compare D8 to MP9, similar in length, MP9 slightly wider and also slightly taller at the side where the above Losi body was to short.

This may be an option for a new Vorza body.
An extra bonus is the Kyosho body is super light weight.

**My brother just mentioned a MP9e body, it would look good on the Vorza.**

Speaking about bodies.. Did anyone cover the big opening in the back of the chassi? Where the on/off button is. I compared my Vorza with my friends RC8e and it really does a better job covering the chassi.

Looking around the internet at the mp9e, it has the same basic layout as the vorza, has two batteries on one side the same, so i guess it must be as high as a standard battery on its edge.

I shaped some plastic to fasten at the front to close that off better, without fouling the steering, but never got round to actually fixing them (i'd seen this on the internet). biggest problem i have is gravel, i think it gets fired in at the front off the front wheels and then either stays inside or comes out the back. i can't find the damn things now.

Thanks for the update Outtafocus!

He said it would look good on the Vorza but was your brother able to put the MP9e body on an actual Vorza to check if it would cover the sides of the chassis?

I searched for an "MP9e" body but I could only find the "MP9" body for sale.
Are these the same or do we think the "MP9e" body is taller? I can't seem to find a part number for the "MP9e" body.

I found three bodies for the "MP9"

Kyosho MP-9 Body [KYOIFB002]

JConcepts Kyosho MP9 "Hi-Flow" Illuzion Body [JCI0077]

Pro-Line Shift Kyosho MP9 Body [PRO3295-40]

[QUOTE=HYDE16;7060989]So in the hopes of finding a different body for the Vorza, RcWorkShopp was generous enough to lend me his nitro 8ight body. I have to say, the mounting holes lined up perfectly and from the top, the body covers the entire chassis with enough clearance for the ESC wires, motor and battery.

The only issue is that the body is too short and doesn't cover the sides of the chassis. This leaves the battery, ESC and motor exposed somewhat.

Anyone who has a Ve8 or D8, have you tried any of your bodies on the Vorza?
IE Ve8 body, JCONCEPTS Ve8 Illuzion body, D8 aftermarket body?

here is my d8 e

Thanks Kenneth, that is a picture of a Ve8 body on your Ve8 or D8e chassis right?

I'm trying to see if anyone who owns a Ve8 and a Vorza has tried putting the Ve8 body on the Vorza buggy chassis.

My brother only had an MP9 body, I dont think that the MP9e is actually out yet, so body may not be available.

KennethM, is it possible for you to take a pic of the underside of your D8e with the Ve8 body on? I was hoping to see how tight the body fits to the chassis. Your paint looks good.

HYDE16, remember the D8 and Vorza are very much the same car, if KennethM got the Ve8 body to fit a D8 conversion, it will fit the Vorza. But it does look like you will need to remove the side guards which can leave your electronics more vulnerable to side impacts.

I actually really like the Vorza body especially this pic

I have an untrimmed D8 body, but I can't test fit it on anything because I am still waiting for HPI to release all of the Vorza specific parts. I have a feeling the sides slope down to much and won't give enough clearance to the electronics.

There is the Proline Shift D8 body, it has higher sides.

My brother has one of these sitting at home, again just need my Vorza parts and I can test fit it.

HYDE16 also, earlier you were discussing painting a white wing blue, I would avoid painting a wing just because your first flip will cause the paint to start chipping. Try using RIT fabric dye. Comes in many colours and wont chip off.
All you have to do is boil the wing in the dye and will take the colour.

I got to see one of these buggies today and I was really impressed. Great price and loaded with nice features. If I was shopping for a buggy today i'd get one of these for certain. This is coming from a Losi 8E owner. Two thumbs up.
