I'm afraid it's a Traxxas Summit rip-off, with lights, called the Night Crawler (why not just call it the "Losi Worm"?), built on one of their existing RTR platforms.
Something for the n00bs, I'm afraid.
Unless the prodigal son returns (Jr.), Losi will continue down the RTR road until all they do is release Traxxas rip-offs. Sad for a company that was founded on racing and having the best competition cars available.
Let's just hope the 8ight line stays in tact.

A RTR crawler makes sense I guess. There isn't a RTR crawler in the line up yet. They do have the CC Race Roller http://losi.com/Products/Default.aspx?ProdID=LOSA0051 So putting in the RTR crawler would be next in line. I hope the body looks cool. The blue color on the teaser reminds me of a 50's style pickup like Axial uses on their RTRs.

I am by no means a Losi Fan but can you really blame them for going the route they have. Lets face it guys, most people that buy RC cars are not racers. As far as being the next Traxxas, i saw a Slash at Pepboys the other day. That is the first time i have ever seen a real RC car in a national chain store. If a company can sell something at Wally world to help fund R and D for race vehicles I dont see the problem.

The 1/8 scale off road program is the best going. The 1/10 off road program is still highly competitive. There are definitely some vehicles in the line up that appeal to other buyers such as backyard bashers, rock crawlers, monster truckers, and other people that still take their R/C cars very serious. Losi is just getting bigger, which is a sign of growth! Do people come down on Chevrolet Corvettes because the company also makes Aveos? Kind of the same thing...
