Default Mini desert trouble

I recently bought a mini desert and had to replace the motor. My hobby shop had a 280 like the original, but it was the RX 280 for the mini slider. the guys there said it would work but later on i started hearing a clicking from the transmission area but I only hear it when i accelerate hard on the ground but not when i hold it up. I checked the mesh and seems good but m not sure what else to look at unless i tear it apart which i don't want to have to do unless it necessary. Would anyone know what this could be? thanks a lot

(also i never had a motor with spring and stuff on the side like this one so i don't know if its those doing it or not because my mini t does not do this)

clicking under load could have a few causes but I suspect that a chipped spur gear or cracked tranny gear is your culprit. The spur you can check easily for rocks or chipped teeth. If you find nothing there, then you'll need to tear the tranny out and disassemble it.

Sometimes small particles get stuck in the teeth of the gears and need to be cleaned out. Hope this helps.
