We are talking stock class now, not mod.

I understand the 17.5 has more torque than a 13.5
Yes it does. But the 13.5 has more RPM

Beileve me or not, Ive seen people get beat by a 17.5 all the time.
Sorry bud I don't believe you, and nobody on here looking for informative information should either..sorry

So is a 13.5 faster than a 10.5 too..

What's better depends on what you plan on doing with it. Do you already have an esc? If you are looking at racing in a roar stock class you will need the 17.5 brushless or a 27 turn brushed. I like the brushless because of the low maintenance but if you don't already have a brushless esc and you have $75 to spend you might have to stick with the brushed

Yea. You can overgear 17.5 and time it like hell but it will last only few races. But if you do the same to 13.5 it will beat that 17.5.

Good post. If you already have a brushless ready speedo definitely go brushless. In the long run it would definitely be worth it. As far as rough comparisons

27turn brushed = 17.5 brushless
19turn brushed = 13.5 brushless
