Brushless motor

Like I said before I do not personally own one, but I do have a close friend with one and I know a few other guys running them. My friend has had his for a little under 1 year and he runs it almost daily. I know at least 1 other guy has used his at least weekly for 6 months or more. They are all very happy and said they would buy them again in a heartbeat. I have driven my friends several times and I cant tell a difference from my Castle in power and efficiency.

Thats a pretty good system. I dont think you will be disappointed. But if you want to really go fast then you should consider the C3 combo they have. Its a few bucks more but I know that it is a good combo.

Please tell me if this is right: You can have a 5s lipo on a 2350kv motor as long as you have a ESC that will allow it, am i right?
#35

You are correct. It will be silly fast.

lol no, thats from years ago when I was playing with nitro. I was tuning an engine in the garage and my eyes were burning so bad. I went in to play on the computer and I needed a screen name so that was the first thing to come to mind!

That must have sucked did you get the fuems in your eye or the actual unburned nitro

I suspect the 2350KV motor + 5S1P lipo will be very fast - watch for hot motor and ESC if you run that setup. Gear it properly and it may be ok. In a buggy, that'll be about a smallish pinion (11-13T). This is for bashing, right? Not racing? If I remember all the other threads, you want a fast basher.

Ya i know i just bought it and i was watching videos of it on youtube, it seem like it can handle high speeds but i plan on using a 5s lipo with the EZRun motor(2350kv) with a 100amp ESC or more, what ESC will be good for this setup?
#44

I ran this setup in my rc8e and it got very hot no mater how I geared it. I run 4s lipos, the esc fryed from over heating. I only race but it still got hot testing in my yard (180-210 deg. after 5 min), the motor is fast but very inefficient. I have the hobbywing 1/10th combo and it runs great and cool but the only 1/8th product I would buy from them is the 150amp esc only. The 80amp esc and there motors are not up to the task of 1/8th hard core bashing or racing IMHO.
