It dont make difference, since I have raced against w/ 50c, it kept on even in straights. Surprised?

I wonder the same.... When I fly my large electric planes, ones that pull around 100A, it makes a difference what C rating the batt's are. I'm not certain how many amps these trucks pull, but if your running a 20c 5000 mah lipo it will discharge up to 100A w/o hurting it.
I'm guessing lipo's w/ a higher C rating are more efficient?

I race with a couple sets of these 25c packs:
http://hobbycity.com/hobbyking/store...idProduct=9967
And a set of the thunder Power 50c saddle packs in my scrt with the hv4.5 motor and can't tell a difference really. Both batteries make more power than the tires can put to the ground. This is racing on a very high traction indoor clay track. In my opinion once you get to a certain point it doesn't matter any more. Especially with the powerful mod class motors. In "stock" classes where all of the motors are equal and every little bit of power matters,
it seems that the battery being able to hold just a little more voltage under load to make just a little bit more speed on the straight does become a factor.

It also depends upon gearing. I run 30C HK packs and when I'm geared for outdoor large tracks it sometimes hiccups a little in the corners. When geared for smaller indoor tracks, it runs like butter with the same packs.

I've added a glitch buster cap and it's better outdoors, but I'd probably benefit from a higher C pack. It'll also cog more when it's cold (and the packs are cold) while geared for the larger tracks because the voltage just can't keep up then.

I generally run the 50C SMC packs with my HV motors but I've used 28C SMCs too on occassion and they work fine. They do make the power feel a little soft and get warmer but they will do the job.

I have some 5000 30c's and they like to cog/ cut out on larger track. I am going to look into another brand in the same size and see if its the pack or just the size. I am using a HV 4.5 motor.

I run the Novak Ballistic 550 Brushless "Short Course" Motor 4.5T/5000Kv in mine with 5200mah 35C packs and it works perfect. Get 8 minutes of hard racing out of it with a 13t pinion without issues at all.

Default SMC C-Max 5400mah - 4.5HV

Ditto on the SMC's: Been running SMC 5400mah C-Max Packs for over a year and with 4.5HV/Havoc Pro in weekly races. Many with double or triple 10 minute A-Mains. They get rotated and reused/bumped up during a tight schedule of heats and rotating 10 minute mains. It's crazy fun and the SMC's recover quickly.

But also started bust'n/beat'n on some H.King 5k's for $19.98 in practice.

I've run the SMC 5400 / 50C packs for quite awhile but needed a larger "gas tank" to make our 12 minute mains. I bought a Thunderpower 8000 / 22C and was pleasantly surprised there was no noticeable difference in burst or high speed power. I was a little worried that halving the C rating would make me have to alter my driving style....nope!!

Hey guys,
Has anyone tried running sc8 body mounts? They look as they could bolt right into the stock holes and they are more adjustable.

I recall someone mentioned they work good because the holes are aligned perpendicular to the body instead of parallel. Hence, you probably will not lose as many body clips.

I use them and they work great. Fewer pins being popped off during a race and they don't dig into the body.

That wont effect top speed, but when I nail mine after a low speed corner I can accelerate way quicker than you since my battery can provide twice the amperage to the motor.
