A simple check on any of the websites selling these batteries would show -
Length: 136mm; Width: 46.5mm; Height: 24.5mm

Does the fna 1/10 SCRT10 4WD Short Course Jammin Race Truck Kit make a good basher?

what are you guys doing to keep it from nose driving. I have no drag brake. I put the white springs on front. Gray on back. I tqed my first race with truck then my battery dumped in 8min a-main. How long are who guys getting out of 5000 mah? I`am running tekin 6.5 with 10 tooth pinion.

Does this kit require a 1/8 esc setup, or will the 1/10 setup work? What kv motor is recommended(For controllable power)? I could be wrong, but I think I seen Chad Bradley with a Novak 8.5.

Chad Bradley is running the Novak 4.5HV in his truck.

Not sure if that really helps or not.

I have a new SCRT10 and I'm close to completing the build/tuning before it's first run.
I just rebuilt the diff's and added 3k, 5k, 1k silicone.
I'm currently at the point of putting the diff's in the housing/case(step #5 in the SCRT10 manual), and I have to apply grease to the bevel and pinion gears.
I have 3 different greases and not sure which would be best for this application;
1) GMK Supply Mobil 1 Grease - This is a synthetic Red grease from Tony's Screws.
2) Pro Boat Marine Grease -
3) Traxxas Thrust Bearing Grease - From a Slash kit.

Well, yesterday was my first test with my new Jammin. Went to a" Bragging rights" Sc trophy race that offered the sc 4x4 class as an exibition class. There were seven entries, (six 4x4 slashes and one Jammin) which was a pretty good turnout for the new class imo. I ran the setup as it came out of the box, a Tekin rx8, 4.5 hv novak geared with the pinion supplied. The track, is Proving Grounds raceway near Grand Rapids Mi, it's a 125'x 80' indoor facility with a dirt- clay mix (overburden) very tightly compacted, develops a decent groove and Barcodes are the tire of choice for 2wd 1/10th scale. Most of the sc class runs Goosebumps, some run calibers and they offer decent traction. I tell you most of this, because imo, the tires that come on the car are a joke! They might work on very high grip clay, but not even close for most surfaces. As I began practice I discovered two things, 1st, I had wwwwwwwwaaaaaaaayyyyyyy to much power, and 2nd it liked to nose dive off the jumps! The latter made me glad I made an additional brace for the bumper. After dialing a bunch of punch control into the esc and down on the endpoint on my transmitter,coupled with alot of preload in the front shocks It was decent for the first heat. while leading that heat by nearly a lap over the rest of the field one of the screws that holds a front c hub worked it's way out. (check the screws on a new car dumby? lol) I tried a set of T4 rims with goosebumps in the second heat and though the off set was off the truck handled better. Ended up with tq. went with a second set on the front, and in the main was able to put two laps on the field. fun, Very fun truck to drive, and with the right wheels and tires & body, will be really fun to race. I'm going to try much less power on our next time there, Probably an 8.5 tekin or a 9.5 in a 1/10th motor. Indoors I can't even begin to use the power and as with my 1/8th ele buggy, going down on kv made it easier to drive fast. Hope this helps some...
