I've known all a long folks. This car is a 3S rig!!

Shark413, I'm really curious how your 3S 1509 goes. I was thinking more along the lines of the 1406 (same size can as a Mamba 540 can btw). The 1509 seems a tad burly.

I forsee a custom 3S tray already needing to be produced for this car.
Yup, that was my plan as well, Neu on 3S = lower temps and longer run times!

Wondering if it would kill battery run time on 2s then 3s?

You will have to do some testing and playing with gearing to get it right, and see what kind of run times you will be getting

That combo is working good for some of the guys here at Ofna including Chad bradley, that's what he is running in his car 4.5 Novak and a 2s, it's competive enough with speed and torque 3s is not needed to race. If your think in the near furture about racing with the car I think 2s will be the rule for local club racing as time goes on but motor for right now will still be a test, I myself have been running the VXL 3s but only run on 2s, it may not have the torque like the Novak but still fast.

Default Updates

Finished the body, just a super fast rattle can job, I normally use faskolor but that paint takes weeks to cure and I wanted the body dry so I could get it out on the track tomorrow. I installed the battery tray, motor, esc and tested it on the work bench. One thing I did notice was the stock tires are pretty hard (compound) and much smaller than what others are running. See the picture where I compare the stockers to some Pro-line bow ties for an Associated SC10.

Quickie paint job

Battery tray that fits 3s lipo

Neu 1509 motor and Mamba Max esc

Stock tires and pro-line bow ties (Associated sc10) the Bow tires look wider than normal because there not mounted, but you can see how much taller (larger diameter) they are.

Shark- try it with the tires first the car responds well no need for a tire change at this point unless your track is way too loamy, plus if you add that tire your going to need a Pro-line body the tires will not clear the SCRT10 body without chopping out fenders.

Thanks R2, I will definetly try the stockers. I did notice that the stock body fits just right with stock wheels/tires.

R2,

The set up listed in the manual for assembly (diff oil, etc) is that the average set-up from Hasley and Bradley? Is there a way we can have those guys post up or update a set-up sheet for the tracks they are using. As far as what direction to go with for diff oil for say a loose clay track vs. a loamy top soil track.

I will be using a VXL system for my Jammin. Wondering if the 13/46 gearing will be good. (according to the gear calculator I might be close). Looks like some of the guys at my track are using the CC 5700...hope the VXL is competitive...

Default wait a second...

Are those any kind of a standard 1/10 scale wheel? There is always a small difference in diameter between manufacturers, but the stock tires compared to the 1/10 Bowtie's is huge.

Loamy like a real off road track should be!

I hate these new uber groomed super smooth tracks that are the norm now.

Oh well, I guess that's "progress".

I was really looking forward to the Jammin, but the odd sized tire make me think twice.

Tell me they didn't do something funky with the tires. I have one ordered, and if you're telling me that other 1/10 scale SC tires don't work, I won't even crack the box open.
