Good to know. I didn't realize people were referring to an ESC other than the NOVAK HAVOK PRO.

Default FYI

The Havoc Pros have basically the same performance (same on-resistance) as the GTBs and SLYDRs. So these earlier controllers can also be used with the HV Pro 4.5 motors (they always were compatible on 2S.) The Havoc Pro programming offers a few additional options over the other escs, but the HV 4.5 is the same motor we sold before.

A lot of the problems we experienced with the HV 4.5 systems were due to racers using them incorrectly, or using them in 1/8th /4S racing. The 4.5 motors were never suitable, or advised, for 4S racing applications. So, we removed them from distribution.

I feel dumb for asking but, When you say never suitable for racing applications, you mean on anything above 2s?

I was thinking the same thing when I read his reply. My intent when I bought this as a combo from Nitrohouse was to race it.

its a strange battery tray. i dont know the size, but it sits the battery on its side. i assume work will have to be done on it to get most lipo battery connectors to come out of it. its weird

Scarab
I assume he means on 4s. They are awesome for racing on 2s.

They're listed in this thread somewhere. I don't remember them off the top of my head though. Maybe try a thread search.

Actually the tray is designed in a way where most connectors will work. It has some big slots at on the sides at the back so even batteries with built in bullets will fit without a problem.

It kicks some dirt up, but the tall side guards keep most of it out of the chassis.

You don't want that ESC. You need a 1/10 scale ESC designed to operate on 2s. I would HIGHLY recommend the Mamba Max Pro, or the Tekin RS pro. If you are looking to stay with novak, the GTB or Havok Pro would be a better option.

I am re-posting my comment from above that I have edited for clarification. The "racing" that I was referring to was 1/8th scale on 4S.
