Default Pulling to one side...

Hey everyone,

Kind of a newb still to RC...

I own a Rustler VXL... I've replaced the bearing carriers on the front end with RPM parts for added durability. I've also replaced the tires with Anaconda 2.8s.

My car pulls way to the right and am wondering if it's something I've done by adding tires / bearing carriers / messing with bearings etc.

What is the most common problem when a car is pulling? and what is the best way to fix it?

The steering trim on you radio could be outa wack. Take a look at that. Or one of the rims could be to tight and causen it to pull to the one side. Also you might have got a bad bearing too. Just because they are new dont mean they are working good. Check these out and let us know what you find out.

Okay... silly question but... there are 2 little rings that sit aside the bearing... I think I might have lost them... would this cause extreme issues?

You could have got something inside the bearing with the seals off them. I would clean them realy good and reoil them and see how the freal. If they have the slightest drag or grittyness to them get new ones. it dont take much to make a bearing go out.

Yep... they feel that way... buying new ones...

Do you recommend the "Red" bearings that are more expensive or should I just buy a pack of Traxxas bearings?

I live by the rule 'you get what you pay for'. If its in your budget I would spring for the best ones you can aford. I realy hate having to replace bearings all the time so I spring for the good ones.
