Tipically a sensored system is going to be more smooth. I would go with a sensored system, just because there are more motor options. Most sensored motors will work with the sensor unplugged on a sensorless ESC, but there's no garentee.

BTW I have both a sensored, and a sensorless ESC.... MY sensored is more smooth, but once I'm going they are about the same in performance

I would go with sensored if you could. You should be able to find a nice used Novak GTB w/ a motor for $180. Or I think you can get a Novak Havok new for 180 w/ a motor.

So your saying no to Novak? cause I just found this in the for sale section.

Not mine, but it's a good price for a good system.

the esc is pretty much the same as the gtb...just more throttle and brake adjustments. and the motor has a larger rotor...13mm so its more torque. pretty much the same as the gtb.
