Brushless Motor Question

I have an SC10 and I cant stand a brushed motor.
I have a few new Mamba Max ESC's sitting here and want to use one of the ESC's I have now. I need to make sure I get a 10.5 motor. Most of the motors I see are sensored. Can I use a sensored motor on a non sensored esc? I know it would not be as smooth but will it work?

Also what would you all recommend for a good motor??

It will work. On somedays, better than others. I can't comment on which one will run the smoothest, I've only tried the Novak HV motors on the Mamba max with mixed results in terms of startup. After it gets going its perfectly fine however. If I had a choice, I would choose the tekin redline sensored motors that are meant to run with the rs pro, which is both sensored and sensorless. You would figure the motors are designed better for both operations.

Your perfect motor would be the Trinity 10.5 DUO. The DUO stands for dual purpose as a sensored or sensorless motor.
