Thanks for the question...

Damm thats so cool, I used to have an 88 CRX si, I wish today I never sold it, I loved that thing, jumped it raced it good times, actually I still have a rear stress bar for it if your interested, cause I never gave it to the guy who bought my car =)

Seriously doubt you remember me from Garden Grove So cal
me=John Connolly
used to always bring the girls to race, like Traci Howard or Melissa Roberts, maybe you'd remember them since they were almost the only girls racing r/c. Traci has started up in on road and is doing the La Mirada races now which is cool.

I remember a few drivers living at So cal and picking up factory sponsorships, without ever attending or winning a major race, like a national, They were picked up becasue locally they could beat or compete with the drivers that had won these big races.

I really miss the ranch too, for all its faults there was somthing special about that place other then deja Vu.

Anyways I havent raced off-road since 97 and I'm thinking about trying to get my nephews into it and start up racing again. So I hope that will be fun and see you out there and hearing you annouce again would be great.

MY question? OK I'm not sure if you were there or not but one night at So cal "Garden Grove" normal club race night, I was watching Pro mod run there qualifier, and Jeremy Kortz and Sorab Tavakoli started getting into this hack fest for some reason, both (factory Losi drivers at the time I believe. sorab deceided to grab Kortz's antenna and snap it off, while up on the drivers stand, So Jeremy comenced to beating the cra* out of sorab, and that was probably the strangest thing I had ever seen.

were you there? Do you remember this?

If not what is the strangest thing you have ever seen through out your time racing?

any interest in the rear strut for your crx, if you dont already have one?

P.S. I also think the XX-T was my favorite and best r/c vehicle I at least had ever raced =)

Thanks for answering all of my tire questions.
I agree that based on my tire wobble, it's like my tires are only contacting 1/2 the time, no wonder I am having a hard time getting this thing to turn good.

If this was a full scale car, the tire shake would vibrate the car apart in a matter of a lap.

Thanks again, you are very thorough.

Default thanks fo the reply

Good point! I guess you are right I wouldn't get laughed at if I win with it. I should of thought of that. Its easy to get mixed up in the social scene of a race track. I sometimes forget that its about racing, not fitting in with everyone else. Thanks for the mojo.

Default Hmm that MnM incident

Sounds familiar, I might of been in the pits when that happen, I remember the way Billy was back at MnM, used to be so rude and immature, I'm sure he's matured a lot since then since he's the new poster boy

But that reminds me of somthing I seen Mark Pavidis Do.
There was a club race at RC Off Road Fountain Valley one night.

Barry Baker did somthing to pavidis in the first heat.
so before the second heat, barry went to the bathroom or somthing and pavidis took barry's car and loosened like a bunch of screws on it, tranny screws everything.

SO when the second heat started I think barry got a few laps in before the car broke up into a bunch of pieces, I think Barry took it pretty well though, it was funny to watch.

OK I better throw in another question. hmmmmm

Do you think it's necessary to have the the best batteries you can find, with the highest voltages etc?

Basically I mean if some novice starts out today and wants to compete should he buy the pro level comp 80 doller battery packs, or should he club level 40 to 50 doller packs, or just stick with stick packs or whatever he can come buy tell he gets out of novice.

when you deceided to start getting serious how did you go about chooseing your batteries and motors.
from stock racing?
and Mod racing stand point?

if I make any sense lol anyway thanx for the reply good times.

P.S. your web site has too many pop-ups and my pop up stopper sucks =(

Default Damm Gabe

you don't mess around on your replies do you.

Good information thanx

was that reedy truck race, 1st in stock, in Vegas

If that was the first reedy truck race in Vegas I was there and all I can remember is I had more traction on an ice rink then I did there.

If that was the vegas reedy truck race if you remember it, What do you think the keys to your victory in that event was?

I noticed in another thread you said somthign about who finished 7th in the c-main. How do you have the results from that and how can I find them, cause I think I was in that race =)

heck you might of been in my heat race I might of pulled over a few times for ya
