Arrow Hey Traxxas Slash owners!! Want a Sealed Diff??

Ha stupid question eh?? Heck yeah we all want a sealed diff in our Slashes. Well thanks to Fast Lane Machine (FLM) we now have a sealed diff available.

FLM20010

Diff is machined from billet 7075 aluminum
Gear is machined out of high strength steel and heat treated for long life
Diff is sealed, so you can tune the diff to varying track conditions by using different weight diff fluids

Complete kit, all you need is your stock internal gears and you are ready to rock
$45.00 per kit

The heat treated ring gears are supposed to be in by the end of this week and I hope to have my diff for a review late next week. Be sure to also check out the life time warranty on their rear CVD's for the Slash.

Not my find. It was found by another forum member at RC Short Course. I'm just helping spreading the news. I actually couldn't believe it was already mentioned here.

I did however contact FLM and got the full scoop on em'. The test beds have been used and abused without the ring gear being heat treated and they are holding up to High powered brushless systems with no signs of wear. So the Hardened ones should be even that much better. Way better than the other brand Ball diff that has a plastic ring gear that melts. This should be the solution to a lot of slash users problems.

look for more info next week.....

If you go to www.fastlanemachine.com click on the order tab and you'll see a list of their suppliers. Last time I checked the only site that had them listed was RC Bros.com. Make sure you use IE to view the web page otherwise the tabs don't show.

Yeah I love "Chrome" Nice and fast compared to IE but to new yet where it doesn't always work with every site. It's kinda funny I have to run two Browsers all day just to work. I'm surprised my computers don't just lock up and quit sometimes.

I think your the first to say they have tried it. LOL I tried another brand ball diff but it turned out to be a waste of time. Plastic ring gear when the stock is metal just didn't cut it with brushless power. I run 1/8th scale so I'm familiar with Fluid Diffs. I think this one will work wonders for the Slash.
