Hi I am new here but not new to the hobby,

Ok,I have a little problem that i need help with,I have a Traxxas Slash that I just got a Castle Creations brushless system for,my radio crystal is MHZ TX and my Receiver crystal is MHZ RX...do they have to be the same?BTW my steering works fine but my throttle and brake don't respond.

Yes your crystals need to match, and if your steering works then you should be good. If you JUST put it in and have not run it yet then you just need to program your ESC. I programmed a mamba max 5700 in a slash for one of my Marines. You should have a guide that came with the Mamba. There will be a quick program that you can do i/e hold the program button, turn on the esc and go full throttle-neutral-brake-neutral and you are finished.. It will be something like that. If you don't have the literature that came with it go to castlecreations.com or call them.. Hope this helps..
