Default Maxamps low voltage Alarm

I noticed alot of people saying that there isnt a lip alarm for slashes that are compatable with the xl-5

I did find this one today at the maxamps website.

would this work for Lipos so i dont discharge them too low?

Yes that will actually work with any veh cause it works off of the balance port of the battery and not the esc. So if you buy one just make sure you listen for the alarm and watch for the light cause your car will not slow or stop like if it had a low voltage cutoff on the ESC.

People say there isn't a LiPo cutoff that works with the XL-5.

The alarm is independent of the speed control but won't stop you from discharging the batteries too far if you don't hear it (like when someone else is running a Nitro at the same time you are playing with your slash.)

A cutoff prevents over-discharging the batteries because you don't need to hear it for it to work (which is good, because most cutoffs don't make a noise).

If you are sure you will hear that alarm where you are running, it should work, but it isn't very loud.

Not as an actual cutoff device, just an alarm. Your best bet may be to pickup the AE ESC that comes with the SC10 as that should be pretty cheap and has lipo cutoff, probably would be legal for any box stock SCT classes too since the SC10 RTR comes with it.
