new to electric truggy
#1

well i made the choice to convert my 8ight-t to electric today but there is a few things to choose before im done so wondering if any advice is available :-)
ill be using 2x2s lipo batterys with more than 230amps available
14.4v with [email protected]
SMC9028LT
i also made the choice of teknorc v3 conversion kit since the chasis of my truggy is pretty worn out
1)
charger is up for discussion but im leaning towards eos duo 2 or a eos 720i
either charge both with balancer in duo mode or i can charge in series without balancer for races and split+balance em every few cycles
2) then comes 36/44mm engine mounts?
also what engine/esc combo would ppl here reccomend?
amain or stormer hobbies preferd and they have to fit into either 36 or 44 mm mounts as that is what i can get standard kits for
im currently looking at using either a tekin 2000kv
Tekin-RX8-Redline-T8-1-8th-Scale-Truggy-Brushless-ESC-Motor-Combo-2000kV
or
speed passion 2200kv
Speed-Passion-Silver-Arrow-1-8th-Scale-Brushless-ESC-Motor-Combo-2200kV
3) any considerations i should think about while using 4s lipos?
any advice is welcome

after getting the smc cells through a local dealer i had a slight issue with the club/track i drive at as they demand hardcased cells only....
ended at also buying a losi 4s @5000mah or is there a sensible solution like buying a empty hardcase available so i can keep on using the packs i have??

You can not self hard case them and make them roar legal.
So that same rule monger will still get you.
Check with the track owner and see what the concerns are. If he is a nice guy and comfortable with lipos he may be fine with you running them as is or with you hard casing them.
Practice with the soft ones. Only race the hard case.

the issue was the safety issues, damage to cell=you have a nice kindling for a fire
i also have 2x 4s losi's that is efra?/roar legals so i plan to race those, but for club runs and places were you drive mixed classes with nitros the larger cells are also allowed but you wont win even if you come first since
