Arrow E-maxx 2 speed, Reduced speed.

Hi, when I changed my 3905 e-maxx over to 2 speed I seem to have lost that extra speed in 2nd gear that single speed used to give. Is this normal? Im using stock gearing and what not. I heard something about using overdrive gearing, Just looking for clarification. Thanks in advance

Have you adjusted the shift point in the transmission?

If it's staying in first gear, it won't have the same speed as the single speed.

Their is a difference between between first and second gear, quite a bit actually so i think it is switching but, it used to run faster when I had it running as 1 speed.

Also, as a note one of the gears got a little bit damaged when i first put it together. One of the nubs off the gear that moves back and forth from the servo. But their is still one nub intact. I don't think that should effect the speed though. ( I do have one on order ).

I heard that overdrive gearing would give me that extra speed. Would this be true? Their must be some down side to this? Any Ideas?
