My dad and I made 'em in the backyard, we have a fullblown metalshop. you name it, Metal Bansaw, Lathe, Mill, DrillPress, DIsc sander, belt sander, TIG welder, MIG welder, ARC welder, gas welder, etc... All you need is access to some aluminum Blocks, Mill, and a lathe in some cases, also a Belt sander. Most importantly you need a plastic front bulkhead IN TACT, and just go from there. on mine we looked for places that were unneeded, so mine is "lightened". As for the rear suspension mount (or is it pivot Block?) that was a ton easier, that we copied from a broken one... if you attempt or succeed in making one MAKE SURE YOU TAP THE SCREW HOLES!!!!

Heres a pic of the front bulkhead on the LXT...

PS The bulkhead took around 6 or 7 hours... not straight...

to have made somewhere? ALOT! I was helping out my dad, he was all yelling at the mill and crap... it was funny, but pretty sad. I COULD polish it, but I like the bare look...

hey guys, update on the JR-XT! over the last week I completely dismantled it and cleaned everything, and put it back together, replacing stripped screws, Mounting things correctly(servo and esc were hotglued to the chassis !) and playing with the suspension to find a good, firm setup, so its doesnt bottom out so easy. Haha the shocks had olive oil in 'em! Here are some pics of it, one has the stock body that someone chopped up, drilled holes wrong, and painted disgustingly.

RC10 came first (1984-85, JRX-2 in 1988) and was designed by none other than Mr. Gil Losi Jr. and Sr. (That is right, GIL JR. designed Team Associated's cars back in the 80's with his dad) If you think about it, Losi was the pioneer of on-road and off-road racing (the "L" in RC10L and RC12L stand for "Losi Design") electric racing!

I won about 500 races with the original JRX-T at Break-A-Way raceway in Norco, CA. (the 5-link suspension owned everthing on ruff outdoor tracks back then, and no one beat me in 8 months when that truck first came out! ) and I loved every second that I got to drive it! It was so simple to setup, and driving was Too EZ!

Keep posting pictures, and go enter a race with that truck!

I'll do that with the pictures, but im not so sure about a race, I'm afraid if I break anything that I cant replace, I'll be screwed, and have another half of a car, without a peice to fix it... then I'd be pissed and sad

By the way, you know that ugly body? well the paint on that would not come off if my life depended on it, so I did what Ive always wanted to, paint it on the outside! I know it'll scratch really easily, but i dont care, it's only for show(the body). I painted it Primer grey, i think the Flat grey looks SWT, but I dunno what to do for the Windows, cuz if I put masks to paint the windows black(already painted, not clear), Im afraid the paint will chip off when I peel the masks off...

I will keep the pictures flowing though!

See ya,
Jeff

PS does anyone know whether or not the Stock rims are orange(like jeepinator in the member's rides section), or the ones I have on it?

H-arm? whats that?

Does anyone know where I could get a body for one? or if I could "retrofit" it with a 'pede body?

you should be able to fit a pede body on it...if the body is narrow enough...i am trying to find a jrx2 body myself...and the h arm eliminates the 4 link suspension...i think it is made by rpm or someone...but it is like the standard suspension today...
