Default motor placment on hyper 7E, with rcmonster mount

has anyone flipped the dogbones and redrilled mount to allow the motor to be mounted on the front end of the buggy?

That would allow me much more flexiblity to run 2 packs (2s 4600mah each). right now with the motor on the right (behind the servo), the buggy seems heavy on the left(battery) side. Note, I am using A123 batteries, so there is not alot of configurations like wih LIPO

thanks!!

ps - tried 6s (only 2300mah though) on this 1100kv motor, great for short track - got smoked on the long back striaght though. The 1900kv at 4s (4600+ mah) should be better

Go for it. You can get some nice battery trays from www.casterracingusa.com

what model is this in the picture? I can save the whole re-drill and swap of shaft back to front IF I stay under 70mm long motor... so what means no 1512, etc...
