The revision date on that link is 5/7/08 & it says nothing about the RX8. Am I missing something?

For this motor, if you are running in Hybrid or sensored mode (not sure if the latter is available), if for some reason the sensor cable gets knocked free, does this damage the ESC or motor? I have heard that other sensored setups in 1/10 scale seem to get damaged if the sensor wire gets unplugged for some reason.

Also, have the same question about the LVC that someone else posted, as to when it will be able to be manually set to a custom level.

Both the RX8 and RS Pros can be run sensored or sensorless they are made to where if the sensor comes unplugged you are still able to keep running in sensorless mode.

The LVC can be manually set on the RX8 if you use the hotwire.

great. So for LVC I can set 12.8V? Where do you go in the software to do that as the pic I saw i didn't see anything that stood out for that like the Losi or Castle interfaces.

Hi,

Which T8 BL motor along with RX8 esc do you recommend for a RC8 on 4S?
Tracks here are kinda big,so I was thinking of 2050,with 15 or 16 tooth pinion.
Let me know your opinion.
Thanks in advance

Depends on how long your mains are. A 2050 on 4S 5000mAh may or may not make a 15 min race. A 1900 should make it more easily. Either should be able to be geared to be fast enough.

For larger tracks I tend to reach for the 2050 if the traction is average. If the track is slippery or smaller I go for the 1900.

Both are great choices for 4s. For most tracks the 1900 can get it done. Ty and Jim and myself all ran the 2050 at Silver State and felt it was great. I was only putting 3400 or so back into our 4s packs after a 12 minute main with 3 warm up laps.

Brad, Yes. The Timing Advance slider is a percentage of 30 degrees.

For my RC8e I got the Tekin 2050kv motor and am running it with 2 thunder power 5000mah 40c's. And the gearing was 16/46 and I didn't time my runtime yet but I would say I get about 14-15 minutes on a medium sized track, but I am very pleased with the combo for the track I run at.

so a 2050kv is prolly the best way to go with tekin? does it has good speed and acceleration..cuz i think the 2650kv is way to much

Tekin,

What exactly does the 1,1.5,2,2.5,3 and Y/D designation refer to?

Number of turns of wire and how they are connected in a Y configuration or a Delta (star). Lower turns are more more powerful and faster typically and delta winds are more powerful for the same number of winds.
