The distinctive sound of chain drive! I had a Turbo Optima, it was my first car, unfortunately, the Mid came out just after I bought it. Nice work man!

Sweet ride! You might generate more interest over at www.rc10talk.com. That site is pretty much dedicated to vintage rides. They have a Kyosho section that you could post up in.

Definately cool! Super cleen too! My first 4wd electric buggy was a Turbo optima mid SE and I've always wanted to get another one but people want a lot of bucks for a vintage r/c like that.I almost had as much fun with it as I had with Kyosho silver fox 1/8 nitro buggy.I miss those dinosaurs.

I just restore my Turbo Optima after over 15 yrs on the shelf, after I install a new Tx & Rx..... my 20+ yrs old 4wd buggy is running again!

first car I ever had. was a royal pain and not the best first build.

second car was the rc10 with the old manual speed control and 6 gear transmission.

yours on the other hand looks incredibly good )
