Is it just me or are the front wheels really tough to get on the puny little shaft?

They are just like that when the wheels are new, once you have taken them on and off a few times you will not notice that. You can try to take a reamer or x-acto and enlarge the center hole a touch or just take off the edges.

You can ream the outside of the wheels slightly or do what I did: Put the wheels on the axle backwards and give it a spin. They free up really nicely.
